What an exciting few weeks we have had at the Lindsay Salvation Army Community Church as Major Gerry has talked to us on the three mission statements of our church.

First he spoke about the need to win others for Jesus.  None of the churches in this town are full and there are plenty of cars still parked in the driveways around town.  So, there are many who still need to know just how much God loves them.  Who will tell them if you don’t?

The following week he spoke about  the need for the church to equip people for ministry.  In case you haven’t heard, there is work to be done and the laborers are few.  Speak with Major Gerry or Major Robin if you are willing.  I’m sure there is something you can do.  If you have missed either of these, they are worth looking up on this web site and giving them a listen.  I am sure you will be blessed.

This Sunday we explore the need for the church to encourage each other in love.  Pray for Major Gerry as he prepares to speak to us from the Word of God.  Pray that the Lord will guide, direct, and bless Him.  We also have a special treat this week; a dedication of a baby back to the Lord!  Now, who doesn’t love a baby dedication.

We will worship through song, prayer, our offering and the message; glorifying God and giving Him praise.  We will sing Joyous songs that are upbeat and modern as well as reviving some old choruses that ask God to Bind us together in love.

Pray that the Lord will draw new people , who need to know Him, to this church.  Pray for an outpouring of His Holy Spirit upon His people.  Pray for our pastors and all the work they do.  Pray for their protection physically, spiritually and emotionally.  Speak life and love to them; words of encouragement.

Come prepared to worship, to encourage others and to listen and learn.  Let God challenge you to grow and become more like the person He designed  you to be and to fulfill the purpose He created you for.

May God bless you this week.  May you feel His presence. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday, and worshipping with you.

Words of encouragement are always welcome.

Blessings,

Carroll
